1996 - First Kevin Gary website constructed in html; hosted on the defunct Prodigy network.  Was one of the first students at my high school to work independently on learning html as this was a new technology and nobody was really familiar with at the time.

1997 - A collection of MIDI music files, graphics done by Kevin were uploaded to the Kevin Gary website.

1998 - Kevin Gary Website relocated from Prodigy to Central Washington University server.

1999 - Garyoke.com domain secured as Kevin began to create a comprehensive website filled with his popular karaoke recordings, online streaming karaoke, early java script games he coded, and bulky video files.  Other projects for his schooling were put online as well.  It was one of the first websites on the web to get into the streaming karaoke business.  Domain was also purchased to help promote my parent's DJ/Karaoke business they operated.   

2000 - Garyoke.com Games, Clipart Gallery, Advertising, affiliate advertising, web analytics, web camera, and educational projects added.

2001 - Increase backdoor advertising pages and programs with the abilities/developments of .xml and .rss  .  Most of these pages (which you don't see here) are still in use today cluttering the World Wide Web.  

2002  - Kevingary.com domain name purchased for those who can't spell garyoke.

2003 -  Developed/restructured garyoke.com/gradebook before commercial educational gradebook services came available.  This was used by a few teachers at my school that were tech savvy enough at the time to utilize it.  Required students with a login and secured password; coded in JAVA.

2004:  Garyoke.com was hosted at Kevin's old home in Ocean Shores on his own constructed server running Apache.  Bandwidth/operation costs eventually led him to outsource these services again.

2005:  Phased out the Garyoke.com games in 2005, still maintained backdoor advertising pages, hosted numerous community event websites, school projects/events, classroom pages, and sold off online karaoke streaming..

2006:  Record web traffic after the 2007 Hoquiam Cross Country Invite:  8,321 web hits in a ten minute block after uploading results!  

2007:  Mostly sat dormant but backdoor pages were still used for affiliate advertising projects, coding projects, flash projects, and classroom activity space. Social networking sort of made communicating with friends, family, and acquaintances much easier.   The popular "Greatest Hits of Kevin Gary" Karaoke was removed but could make an appearance again some day!

2008:  Above.  Explored playing with content management and operated Moodle (educational content management web service) for my online classrooms.  

2011:  Celebrating 15 years of Garyoke.com .  Website simplifed down in part due to advances in social networking from some of the big names on the web.  Garyoke.com/Kevingary.com today is mainly used as a storage, educational, and learning web space for Kevin Gary, affiliates, and family.
